    Today three stories popped out at me on separate news sites.  But when they are all put together they underscore one large truth.  It is time for gay marriage in America to be legal.  There is no more reason to deny this constitutional right to a segment of this nation than it would be to deny it to your brother, uncle, co-worker, or neighbor.

    Good Morning America's Sam Champion has revealed that he is gay and is set to marry his long-term partner.

    The weather anchor's sexual orientation has long been known to his friends and media colleagues, but he has never publicly discussed it before.

    Mr Champion is just the latest in a string of celebrities to have come out this year via a low-key, offhand comment.
