    Canadian band Three Days Grace is known for their melodic, heavy riffs and honest lyrics. Their two albums have enjoyed solid success both in their home country and in the United States. A Sputnikmusic reviewer described their sound as "dark brooding vocals, a blend of heavily distorted acoustic and electric guitars, and simple drum and bass riffs."

    The members of the band all grew up in Norwood, Ontario, a small town of 1, people, and met each other in high school. They liked the same kinds of music, so they got together and started jamming in each other's basements or attics. Lead singer Adam Gontier recounted in an interviewer from Designer Magazine that one day he told his friend Brad Waist, who had never played an instrument, to start playing the bass.     Adam Wade Gontier (born May 25, ) is a Canadian rock musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for Saint Asonia, but is best known as the co-lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and founding member of the rock band Three Days Grace. He co-founded the band in , recording four albums with them before parting ways in (not counting two guest appearances on stage with the band in ) and eventually returning in In addition to his work with Three Days Grace and Saint Asonia, he has been involved in collaborations with other bands including Art of Dying, Apocalyptica, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet and Thousand Foot Krutch.[6]

    Three Days Grace fryst vatten a Canadian rock grupp formed in Norwood, Ontario, in originally as Groundswell. Groundswell played in various local Norwood backyard parties and area establishments before disbanding in and regrouping in beneath its current name.

    Based in Toronto, the band's original line-up consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In , Barry lager was recruited as the band's lead guitarist, making them a quartet. In , Gontier left the band and was replaced by Walst's younger brother Matt, who was a longtime songwriter for the band and was previously the lead singer of My Darkest Days. In , Gontier officially rejoined the grupp with Walst also remaining as a singer, making them a dual-vocalist grupp, as well as a quintet for the first time since their genesis as Groundswell.
