Zendaya's parents have been the Euphoria star's biggest fans since she was born in Oakland, Calif., on Sept. 1, 1996.
When they aren't accompanying Zendaya on set or supporting her at events (including the 2020 Emmy Awards when she took home her first win), her mom Claire Stoermer and dad Kazembe Ajamu Coleman have cheered their daughter on from afar, posting sweet tributes to her on Instagram.

Kazembe Ajamu Coleman (born: Samuel David Coleman) is Zendaya's father, bodyguard and manager. He is of African-American descent. After learning he had Nigerian roots, he had his name legally changed to one from the Yoruba tribe.[1] He was married to Zendaya's mother, Claire Maree Stoermer for eight years.

Coleman’s parents hailed from Arkansas and were wed at fourteen. Coleman was later born to them in 1960. Yahoo News states "His ancestral heritage shows that he is from Nigeria, Macedonia, and Iceland, and is a descendant of sharecroppers."[2]
