My father-Prem Narain Bhatt joined the Indian Army after medical graduation from AIIMS-1958 batch.

The 2011 revolutionary uprising in Libya gave the history of this region a decisive turn. In this period I have spent some time looking into narratives of common people long suppressed and examining how they have been affected by the upheaval and its aftermath. Guided by the dictum conveyed by Greenspan in "Listening to Holocast Survivors" that a good interview is a process in which two people work hard to understand the views and experiences of one person: the interviewee, I have tried to go through the different layers and meanings of on going processes of change in Libya.

How did Italian colonialism affect the lives of common Libyans? What were the opportunities brought about by independence? What meanings did Arab nationalism to different people? How does the 2011 liberation war open new horizons to veterans and youngsters? These and many other questions are examined through

After having worked and stayed in North Africa (Tripoli, Libya) and Malta, we migrated to Canada in July 2012. As the Canadian system does not easily recognize credentials of foreign trained professionals, I continued to work in Tripoli for four years before shifting to Ontario to be with my family. In Canada, I am pursuing Counselling Psychology, after having practiced medicine as a Radiologist for 23 years in India and Libya. This is an extension of my experiences in gathering oral history and narratives of common working people.

Not yet. It has been three years that I’m away from camera and I’m not been tempted so far to act again.I really don’t know when will it be next when inom face the camera. But, it fryst vatten funny to observe that whenever I’m going out for promotional trips (as fiction head), many viewers and mediapersons still think I’m part of the show as an actor.
