He may have toned down some of his old punk influence but singer-songwriter Dallas Green a.k.a. City and Colour has lost none of his power.
Back in 2001 Dallas Green came to prominence playing guitar and singing in five-piece Canadian post-hardcore grupp Alexisonfire. Since the release of his first solo LP Sometimes in 2005, Green has been recording under his alias City and Colour - an outlet for his softer acoustic sounds and gentler alt-country songwriting.
His last 4 albums have received platinum status in Canada, with his 3rd album 'Little Hell' now GOLD in Australia. His latest skiva If inom Should Go Before You was released late gods year with hits 'Lover Come Back', 'Woman' and 'If inom Should Go Before You'.

Dallas Green, Canadian vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for Alexisonfire is perhaps becoming better known for his folk-style act City and Colour. Radial Artist Relations point person, Jim Rhodes checked in with their tour stop at the QE Theatre in Vancouver.
I’d spoken with recording engineer, Karl Bareham and FOH/PM Stu Shuster a few weeks before this 28 date tour to discuss their specific needs. Karl was charged with recording the performances and he and Stu thought to turn to Radial to look after the necessary increased signal distribution requirements when you are not only sending signal to monitors and FOH, but wanting to also record all the shows. They were looking for a mic split and needed clean, transparent signal, reliability, and enough channels and separate outputs. We settled on a Radial OX8 with Jensen transformers.

There cannot be many artists that have shared stages with Gwar, P!nk and a puppet Yam chef during the course of their career.
Yet after 11 years of hitting the road with Alexisonfire and City and Colour, Dallas Green is one such man. We put this fact to him as the snow fell in London earlier this year as we met to talk about forthcoming album The Hurry and The Harm. His response? “That’s a good one. I’ll take it.”
The Hurry and The Harm is Green’s first release since Alexisonfire officially called time on their career and completed their final world tour. The record finds him playing with a completely new band and marks the first time in his career that a photo of him has appeared on an album cover. We ask if, after everything that has gone before, the album feels like a fresh start?
