Kettly Noël
Haitian dancer, choreographer and actress
Kettly Noël (born 1966 in Port-au-Prince) is a Haitian dancer, choreographer and actress. Her first choreographed piece, Nanlakou, premiered in 1995. Tichèlbe (2002) won both the Rencontres chorégraphiques d’Afrique et d’océan Indien[1] and RFI Danse prizes.[2] She's the founder and artistic director of the Donko Senko dance studio, Dense Bamako Danse festival, both in Mali, and the Port-au-Prince Art Performance (PAPAP) festival in Haiti.[3] Noël was also noted for her performance in the role of Zabou in Abderrahmane Sissako's 2014 film Timbuktu.[4]

The annual Create conference centres on interaction design, a young discipline with roots in human-computer interaction, ergonomics, product and graphic design, multi-media and art. An interaction designer is a difficult person to pigeonhole and can be found in mobile phone companies, consumer product manufacturers, design consultancies, as a single practitioner, or within academic computing and design departments.
After three very successful years at the BCS offices in London's Covent Garden, the Create conference moved north to Edinburgh Napier University, inspiring the broad theme of ‘transitions’. The move to the university’s city centre venue allowed the conference to expand and also provided an opportunity to showcase examples of design work from students and established practitioners.

ADAM AMOS and NOEL ROCKS are talented songwriters, singers and musicians. Both write songs, sing and play guitar while Noel doubles on the five-string banjo. Their voices and instruments blend together superbly well creating a sound that has always truly been uniquely their own.

Adam is from Scotland, with an Irish mother and Scottish father. Prior to joining up with Noel, Adam performed as a solo singer/guitarist with early influences drawn from contemporary singer/songwriters. This background has enabled him to add another dimension to the Amos & Rocks' imaginative interpretations of the contemporary and traditional songs and tunes they play.
Adam has some fine self-penned songs in his repertoire which, with his sensitive vocals and distinctive guitar work, complement Noel's approach to give the duo an enviable vocal and instrumental strength and depth.
