      Details of IBM Country Club Historic Brick Giveaway

      Former IBM Endicott and Owego employees and their families are about to have an opportunity to get a piece of their past.

      A "Get-A-Brick" Day will be held this week at the site of the old country club complex in the town of Union that's been torn down to make way for a housing project.

      The Agency has announced that residents will be able to obtain bricks from the historic Crocker Homestead on Watson Boulevard on Thursday.

      The event is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Each person who shows up will be limited to one or two bricks to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to claim a piece of the iconic building.

      When visiting the site to obtain a brick, people should use the Barton Avenue entrance off Watson Boulevard to enter a parking lot at the southwest corner of the old IBM Country Club property.
